*|FNAME|*,

Heavens! It's July already. The Summer NABC in Providence is less than two weeks away. It is time to dot the i's and cross the t's. The Rhode Island Convention Center is ready and awaiting our arrival. Here are a few nuggets of useful information:

First and foremost: The most complete, accurate, and timely source of information is ProvNABC.org.

Daytime parking: The cost for bridge players in the RICC garage is only $10. After you park (fourth floor is best) come to the Information Desk to obtain your "chaser" to be used upon exiting the garage.

Overnight parking is only $20 per night for bridge players. Prepay for overnight parking and obtain your parking pass at provnabc.org/transportation.

The tournament will, of course, be run according to the ACBL's Covid-19 protocols, which are posted at https://web2.acbl.org/documentLibrary/covid/Covid_Protocols.pdf. The current level for Providence County is "Low".

It is never too late to volunteer to help with the tournament. Fill out the form at https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSdHsMenp615M_BS9E2g7swnymP2ZBtcfgndg8b59yw70FCpBg/viewform.

The Online Partnership service will be open through July 12. After that report to the partnership desk on the third floor of the RICC or to the I/N room on the same floor for 299er and Gold Rush games.

Don't miss the spectacular WaterFire event on the first Saturday evening. There is nothing like it anywhere.

A new game for players with 0-20 masterpoints has been added to the schedule for Tuesday July 19.

All monetary transactions, including tournament fees, will be cashless.

The ACBL has finally posted the list of celebrity speakers. You can view it, print it or download it at https://web2.acbl.org/nabc/ProvCelebSpeaker.pdf.

I hope to see you there.

District 25 Webmaster and Communications Chairman
