Note that the 2022 Gala was a five-day tournament. The 2023 event lasted six days. The "Others" are non-members.

The increase of the 0-99 group (which should also include most of the five non-members) from '22 is probably attributable to the Fest. The two decreases (100-199.99 and 75-999.99) are disconcerting.

I decided to make an additional comparison with the 2019 Harvest Regional in Mansfield. It was at a similar time of year, but there were other significant differences. Mansfield was over five days, not six. The knockout had ten brackets, but that was using the rules that the ACBL no longer allows. The NAP qualifying tournament was held on Friday and Saturday. The people who played there are included in the above chart, but I think that most of them played earlier as well. Moreover, the participation in the other weekend events was astoundingly high: There were 42.5 tables in the Saturday open pairs alone. Another 32 tables played in the 299ers or the evening side game. The three Swisses on Sunday drew 66 tables, and another five tables were in the side game.

So, I do not see much progress in the last eighteen months, and there is definitely a long way to go.

The Others are five non-members and two with foreign addresses.

Here are the sixteen attendees from D3 and D25. I don't think that we poached a lot of NY pros from Lancaster.
